It's Still Working.

It's coming. Starting October 1, the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange will officially be open for business. Five insurance providers are now set to offer plans on NevadaHealthLink.com. And most middle class families will be eligible for federal tax credits.



And this is all happening thanks to Obamacare (aka the ACA, or Affordable Care Act). As the ACA comes online, the exchanges are about to start. And so are the tax credits. And so is Medicaid expansion here in Nevada.

Over the past 33 months, Governor Brian Sandoval (R) decided to cooperate with the Obama Administration in implementing the ACA. And so far, it's succeeding.

Just don't tell that to Senator Dean Heller (R-TEA Curious) and Rep. Joe Heck (R-??!!). Even as the exchange is about to go live and other parts of the health law are already lowering costs & providing more coverage, they and other G-O-TEA Members of Congress are trying to undo all of it. And not only that, but they're even threatening to shut down the federal government and start another global financial crisis if they don't get their way in taking away people's health care!

There has often been talk of the "rocky road" the ACA faces. And it's all due to petty partisan politics. Yet despite this, it's still working. I wonder what would happen if Obamacare was actually given a fair shot to work.
