Health Care: Reid & Other Senate Leaders Making More Noise on Public Option

Here's a message I just got from Harry Reid. He's getting serious about keeping the public option in the Senate bill. Fortunately people are signing his public option petition like crazy, and that's helping!

Btw, Dick Durbin is also organizing on his web site with a public option poll we can take to let Senate leadership know what kind of public option we really want in the health care bill. Go take it!

Our idea to build support for the health insurance reform bill I sent to the CBO on Tuesday with an online petition is going like gangbusters. Since last night, an average of about 1000 people have signed our petition each and every hour. Over 18,000 total!

When I meet with my Senate colleagues to convince them to support health insurance reform with a public option, I need as many Americans as possible from all corners of our country standing with me.
